WOW MACHINE BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY

MULTI FUNCTION START BUTTON:

  • PRESS ONCE TO START OR STOP THE JOG WHEEL (LIGHTS UP BLUE).

  • PRESS TWICE TO TURN THE AUDIO EFFECTS ON OR OFF (LIGHTS UP PURPLE).

  • PRESS AND HOLD TO RECORD while effect off (LIGHTS UP YELLOW).

  • PRESS AND HOLD TO RECORD while effect on (LIGHTS UP WHITE).

Pitch Knob:

  • Adjusts the pitch of the scratch sample to +/-50%.

  • To adjust the pitch of the beat, press and hold the "BEAT" button while turning the pitch knob.

Beat Button:

  • Press once to skip to the next beat.

  • Press and hold to return to the previous beat.

Sample Button:

  • Press once to skip to the next sample.

  • Press and hold to return to the previous sample.

Fader:

  • Controls the cutting of the sample or beat. You can customize its behavior in the settings.txt file, including single or double-sided cutting, and whether it cuts the sample or the beat.

Internal Speaker:

  • Automatically turns off when headphones are plugged in.

Back Panel buttons function

Volume Knob:

  • Adjusts the volume of both the internal speaker and the headphones.

Headphones Jack/Line Out:

  • Connect your headphones, use this as a line output to connect to other audio equipment.

USB-C Port:

  • Used for both powering the device and transferring data.

Internal Battery Charging Indicator:

  • Shows the charging status of the internal battery.

ON/OFF Switch:

  • Turns the device on or off.

Mix Knob:

  • Adjusts the volume balance between the sample and the beat.

Wow Machine Jog Wheel material

The circular disc of the Jog Wheel can be easier replaced. The default material is 1mm acrylic sheet that is laser cut, printed and engraved. It highly simulates the feel and weight of a vinyl record, however, other materials like aluminium or carbon fibre sheet can be used here. There will be custom colors, custom printed discs for those who want a completely unique machine.

The current optional upgrades are mirror-like polished aluminium discs, which is definitely a cosmetic and feel enhancement. We provide silver and golden mirror finishes.

 

Recharging Batteries

Wow Machine takes one 18650 battery, lasts for 4-6 hours. Play time depends on battery capacity and internal speaker volume.

Battery is internally charged by plugging in USB power. It can charge and play simultaneously.
